Mr Bansidhar S. Mehta, the founder of the firm, and a once-in-an-era pioneer in the profession of Chartered Accountancy in India, has had a profound effect on the approach and attitude of the firm, as well as on the overall profession in the country, which endures to this day. Mr Mehta is a firm believer that one’s attitude is instrumental in determining one’s success.
The attitude of a professional mind is to accept a challenge and approach the allotted task with reverence and dedication. I can do no better than to quote the Shri Bhagavad Gita, whose message in this context is very apt:
Learn that by humble reverence, by inquiry and By service, the men of wisdom who have seen The truth will instruct thee in knowledge.
The Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4, Verse 34
It is that attitude of humble reverence, inquiry and service which would make that which is seemingly tough to be not merely attainable but something to excel in.
